How to Keep Your Dog Fluffy & Happy at Home

Nov 24, 2025

Some dogs naturally look fluffy, but maintaining that soft, irresistible coat doesn’t happen by chance. A healthy “cloudy fur” comes from regular care — and fortunately, it’s something you can do at home without spending a fortune at a groomer.

In this video, we watch a dog being washed, dried, and brushed properly, showing how a simple grooming routine can totally transform your pet’s coat. Clean fur doesn’t just feel nice… it also stays healthier, prevents knots, reduces shedding, and keeps your dog more comfortable.

Step 1. A Gentle Wash

Use a dog-specific shampoo (never human shampoo). Massage gently from top to bottom. Rinse well to remove all residue — leftover product can irritate the skin and make the coat dull instead of fluffy.

Step 2. Proper Drying

Letting your dog dry naturally often makes the fur flat or tangled.
Dry with a towel first, then use a low-heat hairdryer or a pet dryer while brushing lightly. Avoid high heat — it can damage fur and irritate skin.

Step 3. Brush from Roots to Ends

Don’t just brush the surface. Lift the hair in small sections and brush from the roots outward.

 This will:

  • open the coat and adds volume,

  • remove tangles,

  • spread natural oils,

  • make he fur visibly fluffier.

For best results, use a slicker brush or a pin brush adapted to your dog’s hair type.

 Final Tip: Make It Fun!

Grooming shouldn’t be a fight. Offer calm praise, short breaks, and a little treat at the end. A relaxed dog = a fluffy result.
